A Training Course for Directory Management Board of Cooperatives

    As a planned in The Synergy Program of DFE, a training course for Directory Management Boards of three Cooperatives in Hoa Binh and Ha Tinh province was held from the 17 to 19th of May 2016 at the Northern Vietnam College of Agriculture Rural Development (NVCARD).
   During the course, all trainees shared and discussed issues related to their cooperatives such as:
       - Why were the cooperatives established?
       - What make people take part in the cooperatives? To draw more others?
       - What are long-term strategies and objectives of the cooperatives?
       - Operational structure of a forestry cooperative
       - Define internal and external demands of the cooperatives based on the real situations of locality
       - Define human and financial resources of each cooperative
   From above discussions, all trainees together created:
       - Activity plan for the last two quarters of year 2016 and direction of activities in the coming year 2017 and later.
       - Plan of strengthening the cooperative structure to adapt to market and to self-finance after the program close.
   Participants were also trained in several financial competences to apply in their cooperatives like: maintaining accounting books, tax reports etc.
The training course provided information and knowledge that was new for many trainees. Trainees were also aware of difficulties they were facing to and given a faith in the development of the cooperatives in the future.
