Trainees took their advantages of their own teaching skills as they were lecturers of forestry techniques at their colleges. Their challenge was how to change from instructor-centered methods to learner-centered methods, for the current status that trainees were not only students but also tree growers who would be farm owner in the coming time.

There was one subject participants were interested in discussing about: Doing farm forestry, farmers should be provided knowledge of not only forestry techniques but also economy and marketing. Therefore, the training provided them a session of value chain, so that trainees would know how to develop a business plan, how to harvest effectively, how to do an appropriate estimation of wood volume, how to search for various markets for their outputs etc.
According to different subjects of the training and current status of each college, trainees of the training who are also lecturers of the four above colleges designed themselves a suitable lesson plan for their students and local farmers.
